COME MEET
ELIN TOONA GOTTSCHALK
at SAFETY HARBOR LIBRARY
on SUNDAY Nov. 9, 2014
Elin will be talking about her Story: INTO EXILE
Elin was a young girl growing up in Estonia before WWI. Her childhood was cut short when Elin, her mother, and grandmother fled Estonia ahead of the Soviet Army. They were heading to Sweden but instead ended up in worn-torn Germany
It has been 70 years since the Soviets occupied the Baltic States and Elin remembers the day they fled as well as the day their country; Estonia, got their freedom again in 1991. Her personal story is being told so that no one forgets.
Elin gives lectures around the world. Her current mission is to preserve the true history of the Baltic States during WWII, in the ideological battle between Hitler and Stalin that continues to haunt world opinion and will do, for generations to come.
